Please join Derek on Tuesday, January 17th, at the Elmdale House Tavern, as he performs solo with singer/songwriter Jason Mercer. This will be a great night of music. The show will start at 9:00 p.m. and tickets will be $5 at the door. A “big thanks” to everyone who came out to support the Max Keeping Foundation, on December 29th at the Elmdale Tavern for the 2nd Annual Furious Boxing Week Mash-up show, hosted by Furious Gord. Thanks also to Brant Pethick, Sean Potvin, and Diesel Fitter for their excellent performances. Everyone had a great time! Derek’s band Furious Gord will be performing on Saturday, January 14th, at the South Edwardsburg Community Centre in Johnstown (the home of Mario the drummer!) to support their local food bank. Special guest Sean Potvin, “rock singer extraordinaire”, will be singing lead vocals for part of the evening. It should be great time for a good cause. Derek has two shows coming up! On November 27th, Derek will be joining Ottawa band Cornflower Blue at the Elmdale House Tavern for a night of awesome original music. Derek will perform an acoustic set of original songs from his past three solo albums, as well as some new material that will be featured on an upcoming CD with his band Furious Gord. This show will start at 7:00 p.m. Derek will also be performing with his bandmates in Furious Gord (along with some very special guests!) on December 29th at the Elmdale House Tavern. This will be the 2nd Annual Furious Boxing Week Fundraiser to raise money and awareness for The Max Keeping Foundation, a local organization that assists financially disadvantaged children and families to meet emotional, physical, mental and emergency needs. The show will start at 9:00 p.m. and tickets will be $10, with all profits going to the charity! Thanks so much and we hope to see you at an upcoming show! The spring is finally here and it’s time to get out and celebrate! Please join Furious Gord, Derek Jones, and Cornflower Blue for a night of amazing local, original music on May 27th, at 9:00 p.m., at The Elmdale House Tavern in Ottawa. This special fundraising event will be in support of Make-A-Wish® Eastern Ontario. Tickets are only $8 at the door and all profits will be donated to the charity. We hope to see you there! Le ‘Furious Fundraiser for Kids’ annuel du printemps The Snowsuit Fundraiser on December 27th was a blast! The music was great and the attendance was high. Thanks to all of the artists for their great work and to everyone that came out to support the cause. Over $600 was collected and donated to the Snowsuit Fund. Excellent!!! Apart from his solo work, Derek is also working with the band Furious Gord on new original material. All of the band members are contributing original material and taking turns on lead vocals.
